Where would you like to begin?
Three starting points for adults trying to make sense of ADHD: wondering if it fits, thinking about an assessment, or already diagnosed.
People arrive here with different questions. Choose the one closest to yours. None of these pages will tell you whether you have ADHD, but each will help you understand what to do next.
I'm wondering if it could be ADHD
Start with Understanding adult ADHD, then read What else could it be?. Similar difficulties can have different causes, and knowing the possibilities makes any later conversation more useful.
I'm thinking about an assessment
Read ADHD assessment for what a thorough assessment involves, and ADHD in Australia for how costs, Medicare and GP pathways work.
I've recently been diagnosed
Go to After diagnosis and ADHD treatment. These cover the emotional side of a diagnosis, the treatment options and why continuing care matters.
I need ongoing care or a new prescriber
Read Accessing treatment after diagnosis, or find ADHD care. A new prescriber needs to review your records and treatment. Medication continuation is not automatic.
I'm looking for children's medication care
Dr Saini offers diagnostic assessments for adults only for now. He can start, continue or restart children's ADHD medication, subject to clinical assessment and NSW prescribing requirements. Children receiving this care require an annual in-person clinical review. See children's medication care.
