Medication
ADHD medicines help many adults with attention and impulse control. Stimulant medicines are Schedule 8 medicines in NSW and are closely regulated. Non-stimulant options exist for people who cannot take or do not tolerate stimulants.
Psychological and practical support
Psychological therapy, coaching, and changes to routines and environment help people explore strategies, supports and environments suited to their needs and goals.
Monitoring
Reviews check benefit against goals, side effects, blood pressure, heart rate, weight, sleep, appetite and mood. They are where treatment is shaped.
